Serums vs Moisturizers: Do you need both?

The short answer is YES!

Serums are thinner, highly concentrated formulas that can penetrate the skins surface and are used to target specific skin concerns -- dryness, fine lines, acne, scarring, hyper-pigmentation, brightening, etc. Because they are full of potent ingredients, they are usually more expensive, but a little bit goes a long way!

Moisturizers have a larger molecule size which means they won't penetrate the skin as deep or as quick as a serum would. They work at the surface and creates a type of physical barrier that seals in hydration while preventing the skin from becoming dehydrated.

They work together to help the skin in different ways!

Serums help deliver active ingredients while moisturizers help lock in moisture and seal in the beneficial nutrients from your serum. So yes, you really need both if you want max benefits with your skincare routine.

Like peanut butter & jelly. Bagels and cream cheese. Gin and tonic.

Good on their own, but better when paired together! ;)
