Good-bye Gluten

Goodbye bread! ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Boy, were we thrown a curve ball recently when my husband was diagnosed with Celiac Disease (which is a gluten intolerance). So needless to say, his lifestyle (and mine too, honestly) is about to change drastically.

Letโ€™s rewind a little

My husband was diagnosed with a thyroid issue almost 2 years ago now. He has hypothyroidism which means he has an under active thyroid. It wasnโ€™t a total surprise because his sister and mom also have thyroid issues, so it can be genetic. He put off getting tested forever, because if you were to ask him, he didnโ€™t have any issues. He was totally fine! lol But he was really starting to struggle with stubborn weight gain, horrible fatigue and was more anxious about things. So he finally got tested (after a little pushing) and his numbers confirmed it. The Dr. prescribed him the โ€œstandardโ€ medication and was told there was no need to make any dietary or lifestyle changes or anything. Just take the medicine and go on your merry way. And so he did.

Heโ€™s not really into the natural/holistic lifestyle that I am.

If you ask him, he didnโ€™t have any issues. also has To be honest, I wasnโ€™t completely shocked by that news. My husband on the other hand, definitely was! haha I follow a lot of health/hormone/fertility related accounts on Instagram and almost all of them that share about thyroid health, always suggest you go gluten free.
